This document outlines the steps to take when trying to reset the SmartCell XR communications module. The SmartCell XR onboard microprocessor will turn itself off (sleep mode) after approximately 30 seconds if the communications cable is removed from the "BATT COMM OUT" jack. This is to prevent the board from discharging the batteries, down to dangerous levels, during shipping/storage. To successfully reset the communications module you need to wait for the board to go to sleep.
This board will report to the UPS the state of charge of the batteries (# Float Batt) or if the batteries need to be replaced (# Bad Batt). If the "Replace Battery" indicator is either "ON" (without cause) or blinking, please follow the procedure outlined below:
1. SmartCell XR 뒷쪽에 있는 RJ-11 전화선잭을 뺀다.(UPS out 쪽)
2. 30초(60초)이상 기다리면 배터리 팩의 LED가 꺼진다.
3. 볼펜이나 'ㅣ'자형 이쑤시게로 배터리팩의 통신잭 사이에 구멍에 리셋버튼을 길게 누른다.
4. 누르고 있는 동안 배터리 통신 케이블을 UPS본체에 꼽는다.
5. 리셋버튼을 뗀다.
a. 배터리팩 전면에 LED가 깜박거린다.
b. LED가 깜박거리면 아래 단계를 실행한다.
6. 배터리팩에 통신케이블을 본체와 다시 분리한다.
7. 60초 정도 기다리면 LED가 꺼진다.
8. 배터리팩과 본체 통신케이블을 연결한다. 이때 리셋버튼은 누르지 않는다.
9. 배터리 교체가 완료 되었슴. 만약 그래도 Replace Battery 메세지가 나타나면 위의 방법을 다시
실행한다.
